Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL), a coal mining company, through its subsidiary PT Dayak Membangun Pratama (DMP), is collaborating with SAP Indonesia and PT Trimitra Sistem Solusindo (TMS Consulting) to carry out a digital transformation, reaching the go-live phase.

"Black Diamond Resources is addressing business challenges by adopting digital transformation in its mining operations, which have previously been carried out manually," said Donny Janson Manua, President Director of PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk, in Jakarta on Saturday (August 5, 2023).

He explained that Black Diamond Resources chose SAP as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system due to the need to integrate processes and reports for each division, allowing departments requiring data to access them in a visual format. "Digital operational transformation with SAP, through our implementation partner, TMS Consulting, is a sustainable business practice, resulting in greater accuracy, efficiency, and integration," he said.

TMS Consulting Project Manager Susi Haryani explained that her team created a production planning module report that helps record production units more efficiently. This module eliminates manual input and can be directly retrieved from the system. "Previously overlapping job descriptions are now managed through job roles in SAP with authorization," she said.

SAP Indonesia President Director Andreas Diantoro said that by adopting cloud technology, Black Diamond Resources has increased efficiency in its operational processes and prepared its business for the future. "SAP's RISE with SAP solution enables BDR to achieve seamless integration across divisions," he said.

The SAP collaboration through TMS Consulting with Black Diamond Resources began in December 2022, followed by a kick-off ceremony in January 2023, and is on track to achieve go-live in July 2023.

PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL) recorded a 245.84% increase in net profit to IDR 89.85 billion thanks to increased export sales throughout 2022.

According to the report, COAL posted a profit attributable to owners of the parent entity, or net profit, of IDR 89.85 billion, a 245.84% year-on-year (yoy) increase compared to IDR 25.98 billion in 2021.
