COAL Issuer Implements Digital Transformation with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

BeritaInvestor.id – PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL), a publicly listed coal mining company, has reached the GoLive phase of its operational digital transformation. Collaborating with SAP Indonesia and PT Trimitra Sistem Solusindo (TMS) Consulting as implementation partners, COAL implemented the RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution through its subsidiary, PT Dayak Membangun Pratama (DMP). The RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Implementation Go-Live Ceremony was held on July 18, 2023, and was attended by BDR President Director Donny Janson Manua, all BDR Directors Edward Manurung, Muhammad Noval Zindann, and Yogi Adrian, as well as DMP Director Jeffry Tong. The event was also attended by SAP Indonesia Industry Account Executive Lili Hartono, TMS Consulting COO Dery Hananto, and TMS Consulting Project Manager Susi Haryani. In an effort to address operational business challenges, BDR adopted digital transformation to improve efficiency in its mining operational processes. Previously, these processes were still carried out manually and had not been integrated across divisions. Digital transformation with SAP through TMS Consulting is carried out to achieve more accurate, efficient, and integrated business implementation.

BDR chose SAP as its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system because it needed to integrate processes and reports from each division. With SAP, departments requiring data can access it in an easy-to-understand format. TMS Consulting, as the implementation partner, created various reports and modules to simplify production unit recording, KPI reporting, and per-pit pricing.

The collaboration process between PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk and TMS Consulting began in December 2022, followed by a Kick-off Ceremony in January 2023, and is running according to the target timeline until reaching the Go-Live stage in July 2023. The scope of collaboration includes a blueprint phase workshop to identify transaction flows in BDR, user testing of SAP implementation, and SAP testing implementation to end users with assistance from consultants. Master data and transactions have also been successfully migrated before Go-Live. BDR President Director, Donny Janson Manua expressed his appreciation to all parties who supported the success of this collaboration until it reached the Go-Live phase.

With this digital transformation, BDR is optimistic about achieving optimal growth and making a positive contribution to all company stakeholders.
